[Xiarong Shi] is a translational biologist with over a decade of experience leading functional genomics, clinical assay development, and translational science programs at Cellarity, Sarepta Therapeutics, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and Tome Biosciences.

Throughout their career, they have led genome-wide CRISPR screening programs from library design through hit validation, qualified and validated ddPCR and NGS-based biomarker assays for IND filings, and managed CRO relationships for gene editing service providers. Their work spans CD34+ hematopoietic stem cell engineering, Perturb-seq dataset generation for AI/ML training, and regulatory strategy for gene therapy INDs.
